Why WhyPark?

Why WhyPark vs. Traditional Domain Parking?

I have been using Domain Parking services for over a year and a half (since March 2006) - long enough that with 180 domains I have tried a variety of parking services.  I have used several of them: TrafficClub, Sedo and a few others that I've forgotten about that have underperformed.  Basically I just bounced from one domain parker to the next using couple-week tests with a few of my best performing domains.  I assumed that eventually one would emerge as having the highest RPM/eCPM of the bunch and I'd stay there.  In the end, I stayed at Sedo and continue to this day using their services.  However, I greatly increased my income by adding one more solution to my domain parking endeavors - WhyPark.com.

My Personal Performance Using WhyPark vs. Sedo

Let me start with the numbers.  The bottom line on why joined in March and still use WhyPark today is that it has helped me boost my revenue for the same domain portfolio by increasing my RPM (Revenue per 1000 impressions) by 150%.   It went from $28 to $69 RPM for the domains I tested with both Sedo and WhyPark.  WhyPark was the clear winner.1

If the numbers alone have convinced you to try WhyPark, sign up now.  Below, I will cover the basics of how WhyPark works and some strategies I've learned from 9 months of personal experience of using WhyPark and 18 months of using multiple domain parking services.

What is the WhyPark Advantage?

Content is King

If you've been wanting to build out your domains with content but haven't got the time, then WhyPark is for you.  If you have WhyPark, you can have your domain built out with content in less than 5 minutes (after some experience you can do it in less than 2).  The big value that WhyPark provides to you and the meandering webgoer landing on your page is contentUnlike the traditional domain parking solutions with only lists of ads for people to click on, Whypark provides real content (in the form of keyword-dense articles) with strategically placed Adsense ads.  What this means to you is that in addition to type-in traffic (people directly typing in your domain name), you will also get traffic from the major search engines over time as the robots start crawling your parked domain.  You also get a site that as users navigate the content, they receive more ad impressions and thus, more opportunities for an ad click to occur.  With traditional domain parking, you generally get one page of ads and thats all they'll see.  One landing page - one set of ads.

WhyPark produces a landing page full of articles for your domain based on keywords that you provide during the process of adding a domain to be parked to your account.  You can add up to 20 keywords phrases, but I find it is best to pick the core 1 or 2 that generates at least 15 (hopefully 200) articles.  A keyword research feature lets you preview how many articles your keywords will produce from their database.  WhyPark automatically generates a Google Sitemap and conveniently provides you the url to paste into Google Webmaster tools.

Revenue

Here is the big win for you as the domain owner - 100% of the revenue from Adsense.  With traditional parking you lose an undisclosed cut of your click revenue.  I opted for using the WhyPark solution where I can get 100% of the ad revenue in exchange for a one-time upfront fee.  I recouped the fee in no time flat with the additional revenue I received from getting 100% of the revenue vs. around 50% of ad revenue with traditional parking.

There are two locations on a Whypark landing page to put ads - top and bottom, so there are two locations from which you can generate revenue.  The common choice for a revenue source would be Google Adsense ads, but it is up to you as to what you put in those areas with WhyPark.  You can put Commission Junction or Clickbank HTML/script in there or multiple scripts from a variety of providers.  Try that with traditional parking.  I usually elect to use one or the other provider, otherwise the WhyPark article content gets pushed below the fold and the person landing on your page sees a bunch of ads and leaves.

WhyPark Adsense

It's important to note that the article content will drive what Adsense ads show up on your site.  That means that you can feed Google whatever you want the ads to be about (via WhyPark keywords you specify).  WhyPark just needs to have the articles in their database to support your multiple keywork phrases.  Traditional Domain Parking has you select one keyword phrase which all the ads are generated from.

Using traditional domain parking your keyword choice get submitted and some time passes as their employees examine your domain name relative to the keywords you submit and if they don't think that they're a fit together, your keyword selection can be declined.  There is no approval process for your keywords at WhyPark and they allow up to 20 keyword phrases.  Technically you can have a domain like FrogsAreGreat.com, specify credit card keywords in Whypark and get a site full of articles on credit cards (not frogs).  It's the content (articles) that Google cares most about when Adsense generates ads.  I usually don't game the system with domain names with unrelated content and instead pick a domain name with SEO keywords in it and base my WhyPark site keywords on the domain name.

How Does It Work?

- Join WhyPark and Adsense (or Commission Junction, Clickbank or another affiliate solution)

- Buy/bring your domains - For this example I'll assume one fictional domain: reallygreatcreditcards.com

- Add reallygreatcreditcards.com to your WhyPark account

- Add "credit cards" to your keyword list for reallygreatcreditcards.com (test it with the research link for adequate article count)

- Add top and bottom ad script from Adsense (CJ, etc.)

- Add some other data which is beneficial but optional: Google Sitemap Verification tag, Meta Description, Stats script, etc.

- Save your changes and you're done at Whypark

- Change your DNS for your domain to ns1.whypark.com and ns2.whypark.com

- Sit back and watch your Adsense Reports roll in the dough

Note: I recommend using Google Webmaster Tools to submit your site to Google.  I'd submit your domain to all the major search engines, directories, etc.  Over time the robots will index your site and you'll start seeing traffic coming from user searches - not just type-ins.

Combining Domain Parking and WhyPark

Like I said above, I still use Sedo to this day.  I just test domains on Sedo *and* WhyPark to see where an individual domain performs better.  You can't assume it will always perform best on WhyPark.  Generally speaking I have my big-dollar names on WhyPark and the lower CTR, CPC domains on Sedo.  I have found that mainstream high-paying keyword domains do best on Whypark - insurance, credit cards, etc. mostly due to the fact that you keep 100% of the ad revenue.  If CTR is the same on Sedo and WhyPark, WhyPark will always generate more money to you - you keep 100%.  Some of the more obscure domains that I have perform better on Sedo.  Run some experiments and you'll find what works best for your domains.

Summary of Why WhyPark

- 100% of the Revenue!  I can't stress that enough.

  • You get your revenue straight from Google and not from some domain parking company.
  • Track your statistics and revenue straight from the Adsense Account page.

- Content: You can have a content-rich site in 5 minutes.

  • Search engines will index your site so you get search traffic not just type-in traffic!
  • Customers will navigate through the content and see ads as they go
  • New content articles on your site will be added daily with WhyPark

- You select the keywords - up to 20.  The keywords generate the articles.  The articles feed Google Adsense Ads.

  • With traditional domain parking you get one keyword and who knows what ads will show up

- No HTML programming or technical knowledge required.

- You can get started in minutes from now.  Some of the domain parking companies require lengthy account approvals, minimum domain portfolios, etc.

Bottom Line

Pricing is $99.95 once and done for parking 100 domains.  No further payments ever and no ad revenue cuts to others ever!  I covered the cost in two months by moving over about 20 domains and taking all the Adsense revenue.  I truly believe in WhyPark and I have the numbers to prove it.  150% increase in CPM and more revenue to show for it.  It is worth $99.95 to see what it can do to your revenues.  You can sign up here.
